Welcome to the Land of Misfits Kiko Ranch

Hi! Our journey began thanks to a conversation with our neighbor who introduced us to a unique breed called Kiko goats. Guy, and I, Charli, had never even heard of Kikos before. Our friend spoke highly of their hardiness, natural resistance to pests, and the potential for profit through breeding and selling.

Intrigued, we started researching and quickly confirmed—Kiko goats are indeed a tough, low-maintenance breed when properly cared for.

Armed with that knowledge, we took the plunge. We purchased five female goats, all just over a year old, and began building fencing on our 10-acre property. We stocked up on hay and grain, and on March 23, 2023, our Kiko goat adventure officially began. That’s how the Land of Misfits Ranch was born.

Now, just over two years into the business, we’ve learned so much—and know there’s still more to discover. For us, success isn’t measured by profit alone. It’s reflected in the health and happiness of our does. From annual CDT vaccinations to a proper diet of hay, grain, and pasture grazing, we’re committed to giving our goats the best care possible.
